Any dreams in black and white?

There are online discussions on dreams experienced in black & white dreams.

The other night, I experienced a dream where everything was in black and white. The dream was of a historical context (before color was widely used).

The imagery consisted of both still snapshots, animated images, and even the feel of participating within a black & whiteindoor space made-up of vintage household items (smalls) curios mostly displayed on tables, and walls.

I remember the scents of colonge, perfume, and possibly air-freshener.

After waking-up, I felt that the black & white content would be suitable for a PBS 'Public Broadcasting Service' TV series about life in 1940s to 1960s America.

I've not had a black and white dream in a long time. Lies decades.

The closest lately was the white apartment building dream it was two floors and had six units. Inside was all white and the only thing close where people but they also wore white.
The whole thing was like they were trying to sell me this place I already lived in.

I also remember hearing about dreaming in black and white was the standard a long long time ago.
I wonder how true it is, I'd honestly never researched the studies on it in depth.

Huh, interesting color-matching dream, like a kind of brain-translation in an effort to match what it saw perhaps? Were there any characters or action that tied into the observing of items? Any kind of context on the location (other than what you said about it belonging in an old PBS show)?

I don't recall ever having a dream in black-and-white, but I *have* had at least one dream in fluorescent/ultraviolet-range colors, and it was truly amazing! (a differently lit world as if it were orbiting a very different kind of star from ours) Have you ever had a dream in the light range normally outside of our vision? Thanks to our photo manipulation technology, we can kind of imitate what it would be like if we could see into those ranges, as some creature can, and it was in hunting the internet for references to the dream I had that I found those pictures. Anyway, cheers for amazing dream experiences!

Many shows on history e.g., PBS shows that discuss events from the 1940s, 1950s, and early 1960s years applied black & white pictures, films, TV - as black & white pictures were generally used at the time.

I only remember a lady at the curio display showing interest in a vintage perfume item. No clear context on the location - just a selection of items commonly used in the 1940s to early 1960s years.
