Hearing Knocking On A Screen Door

Just had this dream last night and I'm not sure what it means and I can't really find any info on it. I heard someone knocking hard and fast on a screen door. It sounded like someone or something was trying to get in touch with me urgently. I've also had something like this off and on for the last 2 years where someone has gently knocked on my door. All of these events happen in the middle of the night. Can anyone help me on this?

. it sounds something may be trying to contact you,with what purpose can be determined by small details,such as, how did you feel as you heard the knock and when you woke up
. with a sense of dread or urgency?that it has been going on for 2 years is telling.whatever else it is it is persistent. or is it something buried deep in your subconscious that you need to know?you did mention you felt a sense of urgency.
