Evreything what has to do with depth psychology is a must ! to read and I liked it a lot.
In my "elevated" age I can go into my big Library and do some research...

Right now I am re-reading : Dream symbols in the Individuation process..
Here JUNG is analyzing the dreams of Wolfgang Pauli (Quantum Psys.)
Pauli was a patient/client of Jung and around 1000 dreams went into analytic sessions.
The interesting thing about Wolfgang Pauli: at day time he was that brilliant Ps. and a night time he felt into his shadow.
Like in Dr. Jekyll and Hyde..or what is called a split personality..that makes that book and the dreams so fascinating! 🌈

I used to like the words of wisdom on the popular TV show "Kung Fu." One time the blind Master Po? said to "Grasshopper" "Sometimes it is necessary to cut off a finger to save a hand." Those were the days.

Or in the movie about Bruce Lee. His girlfriend says," Did you tell your father about me?" "What did he say?" To which he says, "It does not matter what he said, what matters is that I told him."

Bruce Lee studied Philosophy. That's all I meant, examples of Philosophy. Nothing really deep.
but cut off fingers to save a hand..what is the message..? should I not have posted that ? I choosed my little Jung Dream Corner not to offend those who do not like that..
What I wanted to say is that the greatest minds have their dark corners!

Helia, the message was literally what I had quoted. There was no "hidden " message. I was simply having fun with philosophy from that TV show and movie. It had nothing to do with your post. Didn't mean to confuse you.
