What's new

One of my saddest dreams

Shortly after my father passed away, in 2011, I had this dream. I was in our garage. I looked around and could see the building was completely bare, no tools or anything in it. No cars either. Instinctively I immediately knew what it meant. Without my dad, everything was gone. I can't think about it without getting teary eyed. Even in the dream I was crying. Anyway I just wanted to share this with you since it was such a powerful dream. I've since had dreams about being in our family's garage, because it was also special to me, with many memories. Good dreaming to all.

Garage = Mindset or inner life structure. Where tools (coping skills) and cars (life direction) are kept.

Completely empty = Feels unprepared, directionless, or stripped of capability.

No tools/cars = No ability to fix things or move forward.

Dad’s absence = Loss of guidance, identity, and emotional foundation.

“Everything was gone” = Deep grief; life feels hollow or meanimgless without.

Crying in the dream = Repressed grief surfacing; emotional overload not fully processed in waking life.

Emotional residue after waking = Lingering attachment, unresolved mourning.

Sharing it = Craving validation and connection; needs someone to witness their pain.

Seems like you link a lot of your life and direction in you spirit to the Garage. It's a very straightforward interruption specially with such a significant loss. But thank you for sharing something so personal.

One of the saddest dreams I ever encountered was with my father, I think I got this dream of seeing him, he look sad like very sad, and we were seeing each other every time, rarely, we were talking and he needed me to move forward and try to make a living, we hang out have a drink at Starbucks, buying drumsticks at a music store, and everything but now that he's gone, I never forget that day, I last spoke to him on the phone, right before his passing, and he didn't feel better his voice is going lower, something I fully explain why he wasn't healthy, few days later he had a heart attack at home, and collapse there, I miss him a lot because tomorrow it's a 1 year anniversary of his death, and my memories with him is still in my brain's system.

Everyone I just want to say thank you for sharing this personal dream, even you @Mike in Destin you lost your father in 2011, what you seeing is no cars without him, everything is gone, but you managed to do whatever you need sharing this with me, is painfully remember how our fathers were brave and powerful, our families survive the tragic events, we needed to move forward while reflect on our memories, it's the interruption with the major loss witnessing our respective pains, and we survive the whole ordeal, again thank you for your support my friends you wish me luck.

Take Care God Bless You All 🙏.

Thank you Tony ,Lex and Helia. Yes, it's a tragic loss. My father was always a powerful force in my life, not something you just shut off. He was a Leo, that did everything in a "big way" as they say. Still kind and gentle though. Lex that was quite an analysis, you must be a pro reading people!

Thank you, dream interpretations are just my hobby, I enjoy doing them.
It helps me feel more connected to people so in a way yeah it helps me read them.
But I like to use my powers for good, not evil lmao

That was a great read @Lex . @Mike in Destin, thank you for sharing your dream... I wonder if I will have similar dreams when my father eventually passes, as we had plenty of time in the garage working on cars together.

You said you and the family had a lot of memories in the garage. It might be the safe-space for your brain to reconnect and remember your father and other family members. I would be curious to know if you ever dream about the garage and it isn't empty? Is it always empty?

Spending some time thinking back and reflecting on the good times in the garage might help it feel less empty the next time it presents in a dream. This might be through writing, meditation, sharing those memories with others, etc. There might be some unresolved thoughts lingering "in the garage" that your brain is hinting the need for resolution.

Also, it's been a while since this dream was originally posted, has it popped up again, and has anything changed?

Hello Mike in Destin / Cosmodreamer,

Mike your dream is a very powerfull expression of how every child feel, now matter what age you are, when you lost a parent, aspacially one who teached you showing you in his working place with wise lessons experienced during his working live: You feel empty, abandoned en helpless. No matter the age you become an orphan!!! And based on my standard model used in explaning dreams whereby the space the Ego who is telling his dream is in represent the body of the dreamer. So in that sens, this dream expresses exactly how you felt when you lost your powerfull daddy: EMPTY!!!

But more over spiritually it expresses also that when you have committed a deadly sin against your Soul / against the Lord and He abandon you, you are also emty and helpless. As you sad your father was a Leo, a Lion. So this message composed by your Soul / The Lord is (could be) , I think, double!

The "Lion of Judah" is a title referring to Jesus Christ, a symbol of his lineage from the tribe of Judah, his kingly authority, and his triumphant victory over sin and death. This symbolism originates in the Bible from the blessings of Jacob upon his son Judah in Genesis 49, where Judah is described as a "lion's cub," and culminates in the Book of Revelation, identifying Jesus as the triumphant Lion who has the authority to open God's plan for the end times.

Cosmodreamer, you are new here, but i see that you have the right attitude to learn very quick, asking the right questions and gowing into the depth of the matter and not just swallowing everything. I promise you that you will grow very quick!!!
