Reoccurring dreams about Whales

For about a year or so I have been having recurring dreams that I am in a massive swimming pool having a leisurely swim and then I notice under the surface of the water there are lots of whales swimming along side me and sometimes brushing against my legs as the pass me by. I dont feel scared or threatened by the whales but after I get out of the pool and look in and see the pool with all the whales in it I feel quite nervous. Wondering if anyone has any theories on what this dream symbolises as I am having this dream quite often.

From my jungian perspective abiut whales...whalerider movie

This story is very impressively portrayed in the film "Whale Rider." The film depicts the whale's role in creating and preserving the world, as well as the close, even kinship-like, relationship between whales and humans. The slightest disruption of this "chosen kinship" has devastating consequences for every individual and for human society as a whole. Whales are the gentle giants of the oceans, possessing a high degree of social intelligence and competence. They can communicate through song and require ample physical contact to thrive—humans can learn a great deal from whales about developing their social skills and their respect for all worlds and creatures. What makes whales so special is that they are mammals and therefore very closely related to humans.

Beautiful dream....i admire whales and had close contact in reality

I concur with Helia. Whales are great. Cool dream. In general dreams of animals are our connection with the wild, our deeper instinctual selves, and of course just nature itself. It's often a question of: Do you trust the animal?

from my Jungian view: it is important to realize that you are in a (big) pool, not the open ocean. The pool could rather be a saymbol for the personal unc. ..in contrast to the ocean: the collective Unc.
The brushing against you seems as if the a big! unc. content in your ps. structure wants to contact ! you..go ahead with that!

I got called a "Whale" by some teens at the mall a few weeks ago, i don't really know what it means but that night, i had a really wonderful dream about flying with whales over six or seven planes full of people saluting us in a friendly way (waving)
