I was standing in a field, a group of people I'd never met standing there chatting, the sky was warm like the sun was setting... and I watched as the couple held hands and interacted, children ran in between things everyone was dress well there were lights, the sun and air was warm on my skin.
I watched as two people on the outside held hands intimately...
It felt like my stomach dropped and I realized I wasn't suppose to be here or see this...
I cursed and started walking away. Slow, determined at first, then faster and more emotionally my bare feet one dead leaves and in soft cool dirt.
And then I hear the boots? Footsteps behind me, chasing me.
But they wouldn't chase me .....shouldn't be chasing me but,
It doesn't matter the grassland turns to woods and to vines with large long thorns, and they encompass me.
As I stumble and fall into the thick of the bramble, a growl behind me then a roar of pain... as what or who gets caught and injured in the thorns they thrash and attack the vines and bramble over and over howling in pain and frustration
I pause and take note of my self I've cutes and wounds superficial accept for my one eye.
It feels torn.. at least the lid seems so and I cant see very well.
The sounds outside stop, and I get up and navigate safely though the thorns as they seems to make a safe way for me they cautiously allow me access...
On the ground outside is a Lion, it whines and cuffs and chirps and is covered in cuts and thorns.
It watches me... waits for me...
I come closer...and I begin to carefully remove all the thorns and blow gently on the wounds...
"I'm sorry... im so sorry." I whisper.
the lion growls and tries to turn away but can't seem to, as I clean them up, I realizes it's getting harder to see...soon I've removed all the thorns and cared for all the cuts, the Lion doesn't change its stern and growling disposition but it doesn't attack, and I'm suddenly very very tired and very very weak, and I can't go back to the thorns and bramble. I try to walk back, away. The Lion gets up and plops down, surrounding me, its giant frame and paws encircling me. Not letting me move anymore.
I'm watching from outside myself now.
Watching as I sink into his fur his form sphinx like one arm pinning me to rest the other propping me.
My blood on its chest...I dont know if I died or I lost blood an fell asleep but I watch everything fade to dark....and I wake up.
