an unusual baffling dream and possible regeneration

this dream as far as i recall begins in a library basement.just as i was about to leave i noticed something that one does not usually see in a library. a table with a row of perfume bottles arranged in a neat line ,a sight you would expect to see in the perfume section of a large department store, not in a library.one bottle stood out it was a tall bottle with a red spiral in the center.unlike the other bottles ,this one seemed to be handmade. a young woman with dark hair said "go on. do it" ME: do what? YOUNG WOMAN: trust your intuition. so i gazed at the glass counter and concentrated. soon a light began to glow behind the bottles. then a flash. then an implosion of white-red light, followed by an explosion ,of light . now instead of the tall bottle being 3RD from left it was now 4TH from left. and the spiral was now bright red instead of faint red. a crowd had assembled . i turned and saw another glass counter with a similar arrangement to first. only here the spiral was blue instead of red. so i gazed and concentrated ,with the same result. again the flash .again the implosion/explosion,this time with white-blue light . and this counter had 7 bottles instead of 9 . now the bottle with a spiral was deep blue instead of dusty blue. the crowd was thunderous in its applause. there were 2 people who stood out. one was the aforementioned young woman with dark curly hair and a cream colored dress.the other one was a tall man in a black suit who said "2 more times" the young woman was encouraging me. so i turned and saw a 3RD counter ,this time with 8 bottles and a caramel colored spiral in the 3RD from left box. so once more i gazed and concentrated, with an identical result. the light was red-copper ,and now the spiral bottle was 4TH from left .now it was a vigorous copper. now for the fourth and final one. this time the color was green and there were 11 bottles . i repeated the procedure with the same result. this time the light was green. and when the explosion/implosion was finished instead of being pale green it was now vivid green. and the spiral bottle was now 5TH from left. the applause from the crowd was deafening . the young woman and the man in the black suit came over to congratulate;ate me. of the people i recognized several foreign languages ,such as Castilian Spanish Aragonese Spanish ,Asturian Spanish , Russian ,Ukrainian, Standard French, Provencal French, Dutch and German. if anyone can make sense of this dream,i invite you to try . your opinions will be welcome

The first thing which came to my mind is: 4711

a Carthusian monk for the production of "aqua mirabilis" (miracle water) - later known as "4711 - Genuine Cologne Water" - was not only rubbed in but also drunk and was said to be effective against tension, palpitations, and headaches.
The book an d film DAS Parfuem

You are having really long dreams...my dreams are rather shortstories..but all the colours and the smell...???? Intuition, ideas??

The idea: bc it happens in a library ( basement!) That you are reading something what an explosive effect on your senses🎏

yes, explosive indeed.but i certainly did not expect to encounter 4 glass counters with a every third from left one being a spiral. there is also symbolism in the colors .red, blue, copper and green. and i suppose 4711 is an apporopriate number. a spiral, if i recall is an infinity symbol. in Jungian terms the Spiral is the process f becoming one's ultimate self through integration of all different factors of the psyche.also red is the symbol of passion and the life energy while blue is symbolic of the inner mind and introspection.i do not know what copper would symbolize in Jungian terms but it is a great conductor of energy. it could symbolize awareness and healing. Green is the symbol for growth and healing. what Carl Jung called the spectrum of consciousness. this is a dream of transformation and healing, and you have analyzed it very well

i have heard of them but never read one. i have heard they were very introspective. i have been told the same thing by other dream analysts. i will try to obtain a copy.

i know that some of my dreams are vision-like ,some of them being so vivid and so lucid that i have trouble on waking adjusting to the fact that the dream world and the world of physical reality are not identical.related, yes but not identical. if you want to read a dream like that i strongly recommend EXPANDING CONSCIOUSNESS AND ACQUIRING POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS ABILITIES IN THE PROCESS in 5 parts from pages 11 to 13. that dream was so vivid that even now i am not sure whether or not it was a message and a warning from some higher source on what could happen if human beings develop latent powers which they are conditioned out of by the society in which they live. it will be interesting to know your views on it. it is full of archetypes and symbols .

yes Helia .all the colors have significance as does the condition of the spirals before and after,a red spiral having the possible symbolism of the movement between the interior and exterior self . that all the colors were faint before but bright afterward also has meaning. a spiral can also symbolize rotation and movement back and forth from one level of consciousness to another. a blue spiral could mean depth of wisdom and communication. the fact that these spirals were faint or pale before and then become vivid and intense is also symbolic. blue is often symbolic of tranquility and depth. the copper spiral ,on the other hand could mean accelerated evolution and rapid acquiring of knowledge necessary . copper being a superb conductor. green ,could symbolize growth , and renewal . symbolically these spirals were not of the same strength they should be. then came renewal . hence the reaction of the crowd

Since ancient times, humans have distinguished between two spiral shapes. The left-turning spiral, which runs counterclockwise from the center, symbolizes introversion, curling up and concentrating, the path back with the ebb and the waning moon, back to the origin, the womb, and also to death. The right-turning spiral, which, viewed from the center, unwinds clockwise, represents extroversion, symbolizing the waxing moon, tide and fertility, unfolding into life and the future. It can be continued into the open, to infinity..
From my research....once on a beach i found a NAUTILA
My most precious gift...🐚

very simple. the exterior self refers to the world outside of you. the interior self is of course your own thoughts both conscious and subconscious your feelings and emotions. you certainly should know of this, being an avid fan of Carl Jjung. what Jung shows, more than others is how the subconscious mind and the conscious mind (and, i might add,the superconscious mind) interact to produce effects in the psyche of the person. they have feelings that they cannot explain. and sometimes acts that they cannot account for

I can not agree J. - in Jungs analytical Ps. we have the UNconcious and the Concious.
Super . C. is Freud,
What we call the SELF is superior to the ego complex, see "ego and archetype"...

JUNGS map of the soul...from Dr Edinger
More than a mere overview, the book offers readers a strong grounding in the basic principles of Jung's analytical psychology in addition to illuminating insights.

Probably the best one-volume English language summary of Jung's thought. . . Stein develops the cartographical metaphor of the title by beginning with the "surface" (ego) of the psyche and exploring successively more complex areas, including complexes, libido thoery, shadow, "anima/us," the self, individuation, and synchronicity. The map soon resembles the multidisciplinary chart of a solar system more than it does a flat map. In each subject area, Stein draws heavily on papers that Jung wrote late in his life, but he sets these in the context of Jung's earlier developing thought. This method allows the author to demonstrate the interconnectedness and coherence of Jung's mature work. --

Stein could just as aptly have named his introductory guide "Jung's Art of the Soul," for the course the founder of analytical psychology charted also has the intuitive sweep of an artist on an inner journey integrated within a systematic framework of techniques. Though acknowledging Jung's creative, intuitive approach to fathoming the mysteries of the individual and collective human psyche, the author presents a solid case for the basic coherency and empirical underpinnings of the great psychoanalyst's theory-counter to those who viewed him as more of a mystic or philosopher who espoused: "As within, so without." Territory consciously omitted from this psychic map concern his analytic practice and interpretation of culture, history, and religion. Organized like a graduate thesis, all the major concepts that evolved over Jung's lengthy career are lucidly summarized with some contextual details: ego-consciousness, complexes, libido theory, archetypes, persona/shadow, anima/animus, the self, individuation, and synchronicity. While this presentation is eminently more accessible than most Jungian texts-and Stein does preface it with personal remarks about his long-time attraction to Jung-those who seek a sense of Jung's own voice and personal development in his quest for answers to many of life's enigmas will have their appetites whet to explore further. -

ah yes .so i see your perception of the ego and mine are slightly different. while i agree that the self is unquestionably superior to the ego complex, i do not regard the ego as an enemy , rather as something as are all elements of the psyche to be kept in its proper place. where you understand you are a part of the universe yet you retain your own distinctive identity. the writer philosopher Novalis put it best " Der geheimsvolle weg fuhrt nach innen. er ist in uns und nirgendwo sonst.Dort , wo die ewigkeit der welten , die Vergangenheit und die Zukunft gefunden werden" the mysterious path goes inwards .it is in us and not anywhere else. the eternity of the worlds the past and the future are found

Carl Jung said "only a life lived in a certain spirit is worth living . it is a remarkable fact that a life lived entirely from the ego is dull not only for the person himself but for all concerned" with this i cannot agree more.but notice the qualifying adverb. entirely from the ego. the ego can be very beneficial if used rightly . or to put it another way again we turn to Novalis . Das Gottliche inwendig nimmt Das Gottliche auserlich war . not an exact quote from Novalis but nevertheless it is very close and in the spirit of his philosophy
