Any dreams that play-out like movie plots?

Just experienced one of those rarely experienced movie-plot dreams - Where it's asked, "when will TECH develop to enable audio/visual recordings, and replays of sleep dreams?" Such TECH. has been discussed here in 'DreamForum.'

The movie started-out as a light drama, and gradually transitioned into a musical format movie, with a few bits of comedic moments througout the movie.

<...>

* After I had awoken from this dream at 4:30AM, I felt what came be described as a refreshing "WHOA feeling" - I felt I had to applaude in bed, and even to stand-up and applaude - and proceeding to get a drink of water. And again, asking, "when will TECH. be available to allow us to record our sleep-dreams?" as I went back to sleep.

These kinds are definitely rare treats, and are *often* more layered than we can account for. We are sensitive/aware enough to know of the complexity, without being able to understand it--certainly not enough to drag it back to consciousness! I am positive that near-miraculous recording tech would still not be able to scratch the surface. These are meant for the dreamer, alone, and it is up to that dreamer to organize, codify and share in whatever capacity they have. :) As we sometimes do here. Getting serious/beneficial analysis or follow-up insights seem to be even rarer.

Out of curiosity, what did this dream encourage you to do (besides applaud and record it here)? Upon reflection, have you found any trace or thread of underlying meaning you'd like to share? Could it be an "awakening" (pun obviously intended), a stepping stone to a larger awareness, with more opportunities to enhance your dream journey?

To best answer, I reread (and reassess) the older dreams I've discussed here on 'DreamForum,' and look forward to the next memorable dream to put to words here on DreamForum.

I'm not sure of any deeper meanings - the two soundtracks to the 1979 to 1980 movies, 'The Main Event' and 'Fame' (that was developed into a TV series of the same name) tied-in to the content of the last half of this dream.

The decluttering of a living-space, to find that the space revealed a sizable performance stage where I (the only person amongst eight other trained dancers untrained in the performing arts) got a small part in the dance performance seemed like such a refreshing storyline in an entrainment world ladden with mindless junk.

I veiwed the movies, 'The Main Event' and 'Fame' (I had seen as a kid) within the last several months, and again noted the though of the performers, and performances - that is Barbara Striessand in 'The Main Event' and the storyline around 'Fame' about a New York City performing-arts high-school. Again, a possible deeper meaning - refreshing storylines within an entertainment world ladden with mindless junk.

In the end, I went from an audience member, to a performer in a movie, and back to an audience member, walking-out of the movie theater like everybody else - with the movie soundtrack resonating as I was looking for where I parked my car.

P.S. 😆 The 'awakening' pun was funny!

Dream insights,i have given serious thought for the first time to your question(which almost amounted to a suggestion ) that i publish these dreams in book form. since i never thought of this before,i really would not know how to go about it. nor would i know how to approach a publisher with this. it would have to be aimed at an audience intensely interested in dreaming.but i will definitively file this for possible future reference. i find it interesting you began as a member of the audience , and became a participant. then reverted to audience status and left the theater just like anyone else. and you diagnosed the malady exactly. laden with mindless junk. something i too have found to be widespread. with regard to publishing AN UNCERTAIN QUEST ENDS ON AN ENLIGHTENING NOTE(you must have been impressed by the dream as it is the only one you mention by name) i have pretty much covered the territory, unless you have some suggestions to make. i look forward to your response

Might it be best that a book stemming from a dream is not mentioned as a story beased on a dream - in order to boost ample readership interest?

that is a possibility.by itself it probably would not draw much readership interest. but if the story were elaborated and built on, you might have something. it intrigues me because i had never considered this before. if you are, then you have my permission to use my dreams feature as a basis for a good story. who knows,we may be discussing the new star wars or star trek in the making?

Thanks, but no thanks.
