Heh, well I would say I have my doubts that it's even possible, and yet, what *isn't* possible with dreaming?
Though, I guess some reoccurring dreams would fit; if an aware dreamer has a couple of similar dreams that feel like repetitions, they might anticipate another of the same type or in the series enough that it happens, at least partly *because* of the anticipation of it. Hmm, our problem becomes seeing enough patterns to know whether or not this is possible. If you want to run an experiment, you could (if sleep patterns allow) find a topic and think of it in meaningful ways just before you sleep; fill your head with it each night just to see if you can prompt a dream with a certain amount of similarities. It'd probably be disruptive of sleep, so I'd only suggest it to someone who can afford that disruption, but would be an interesting bit of self-research (almost like pre-lucid dreaming or steering). Just to see if you can "pick a topic" for the dream world to react to.
