I'm not sure if this counts, When I was a kid, I watched he animated series, "Speed Racer" on the family's analog television. Each day after returning from school, I was engrossed by the stories and anime, an intergenerational thriller with combinations of drama, comedy and action-adventure, with a sprinkle of romance here and there.

Speed racer was something a friend of mind really loved.
Those kinda shows and styles always found a way to pull me in, I also really looked the tech aspect or the Sci Fi styles (But I was never immune to like magical girl things) Thunder cats and He man both were things I watched, I cant recall much I just recall the excitement of seeing them on TV (a little black and white with rabbit ears) did you happen to see the live action movie they made about Speed racer?

I have known about it, said I would go see it when it came out but never did. It's still on my bucket list. :)

I liked what I saw of Sailor Moon. I think I always had a place in my heart for that girl. I think Sailor Moon is a part of every girl growing up; well almost. I can think of some women that didn't see it that way. :)

Watching anime as an adult, I liked the sweetness and innocence that I saw. Living in the US, I felt that I had to grow an extra thick shell to protect myself. Finding a connection to that inner child part of me and keeping a focus on innocence is something to protect. Losing that awareness makes it harder to get back to that special place inside, when and if that were to become important again.

In my life, Anime was one of those ways to return to my childhood innocence.

Oh yes, I enjoyed 'Speed Racer' as a kid in the 1970s.

Several years ago, I had must have had two, or three dreams that had the experiences of new 'Speed Racer' episodes.

Very interesting :)

I hope you write about those dreams / SR Episodes here. I was writing here for a while, then slacked off. Dreams and journaling have always been excellent tools for keeping on top of my own reflective periods. The extra effort has helped me to live my life more fully. Thanks for the tag.

The dreams featuring 'Speed Racer' episodes were mixes of the styles, themes, etc. of the SR cartoon series - that is no specific storyline structures were noted.

As I remember, the dreams seemed like deja-vu like memories with bits and pices of audio/visual elements of the SR cartoon series.

The theme song was catchy, perhaps you heard that as you were dreaming too. SR to me represents the curious young man or older boy; that curious and adventuresome part of me that would take risks and get in tight situations. Sometimes snippets like that can be woven into a dream that reinforce the other, primary imagery. I seem to always have snippets too, and before the night (or nap) is over, I have been to multiple settings featuring various situations. Taken together, I can sometimes see a recurring theme.
