I fell asleep during/after listening to recordings made by Jeffrey Dahmer's father of phone conversations with his son on YouTube.
Dreamed of a dark park and playground at night near an archetypal barn with a little boy I meet there and make friends with. Sliding down the slide. Then realize he's going to grow up a serial killer. Or even kill people while he's a child or youth.
This is somehow fated - his family his dad may be a killer too and he's next in the succession. I realize he will try to kill me soon enough and I'll either die by his hand or have to kill him in self defense. Not speculative at all just a matter of time.
Trouble is I've come to love the little guy in the short time I've known him. He disappears for a bit and comes back. I try to reconcile the knowledge of all this with him. I shout as we play in the dark, almost sobbing: "I swear I'll never hurt you!!!"
This has dreadful conditionalities though like the subtext 'even though I'll have to cuz of what's fated to be.'
I wake up with deep relief that it's all a dream.
